So yet again this year we have all been looking sky wards as the aurora borealis make its way over the horizon.

I for one was out there with the camera as soon as I got the notification of activity… (thanks to Aurora Watch UK app)

We are very lucky to be seeing something that originally wasn’t viewable in the United Kingdom. And was something we would have to travel miles to catch a glimpse of. And even then it wasn’t a predictable experience..

Yet sightings of the Aurora are starting to become a natural occurrence here! And many of those being seen by the naked eye and not just by long exposure cameras.

The question I’ve seen people asking is, is this a bad thing?

What does this really mean? Are we getting these sightings more frequently because of the ozone layer! Or changes in geomagnetic conditions , are these phenomena mixed in with climate change and the way the world has been going crazy with high winds like those in America this week with winds that have hit 150 plus miles per hour!
